It fits easily in the overhead on airplanes and can hold lots of smaller items such as cameras, mutes, etc. My only concern with this gig bag is that my trumpets don't fit exactly in the pre-molded foam. There's a little bit of room which I use a folded pot holder to keep my trumpet from moving. My Yamaha trumpet may have been slightly dented (the second valve slide) by the case. [2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-07-15 Summary: Great bag ... I bought this bag for my teenage son a year ago and it's withstood his treatment quite well. Nothing is broken at all. It's been dropped, manhandled, and has survived rain. It is still as durable as it was a year ago. This bag is the envy of his trumpet friends. The only negative feedback is that it's not big enough to hold his sheet music folder, but that is true of most cases. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
